On Sunday, October 1st, Mars in Virgo makes a trine with Pluto in Capricorn at 7:36pm EST, turning ambition on high now that Pluto is direct. Mars in Virgo is inclined to act with more tact and politeness than usual, and when positively matched with Pluto’s deep internal power, things will get done effectively and efficiently.
On Tuesday, October 3rd, Venus in Virgo is next to form a trine with Pluto in Capricorn, although this is not as pleasant a trine as Sunday’s Mars/Pluto. A Venus/Pluto trine is bound to bring up secrets and hidden insecurities in relationships, which can be destructive if not managed properly. Luckily, a trine aspect has a more positive focus, and if you can overcome any new discoveries in your relationships, no matter how shocking, you stand a very good chance of establishing and/or maintaining deep and meaningful connections. On Thursday, October 5th, Venus in Virgo meets up with Mars in Virgo at 12:53pm EST for the second time this year. This meetup normally results in sensual and even sexual expression and can be quite charming, but with Venus in Fall in Virgo and Mars acting more prudish than usual, this transit may not be as exciting as we’d hope. Instead of being demanding of your loved ones (usually a hallmark of this conjunction), try doing something nice for others today. After all, Virgo is the sign of servitude and effort. Kind deeds may pay off nicely. A Full Moon at 12°43’ Aries takes place today as well. This is the first Full Moon after the fall equinox, and will illuminate areas in which we need to take action and initiate change. On Sunday, October 8th, Venus in Virgo squares Saturn in Sagittarius at 8:54am EST. This is the last Venus/Saturn square of the year, and with square aspects there are always challenges. Saturn urges us to take responsibility, which conflicts with Venus’s laissez-faire and laid back nature. Relationship challenges may come to a head today when one partner feels they are “doing more” than the other. The Sun in Libra will meet up with Mercury later in the day at 4:54pm EST, sending a lot of mental energy into the mix, which can cause undue stress or worry. Luckily, Mercury moves fast and is at its farthest point from Earth, helping us to process any relationship woes logically and objectively. On Sunday, October 9th, the Sun/Mercury conjunction in Libra makes a square with Pluto in Capricorn, sending a tailspin of energy into our mental sphere. Thoughts will likely be deep and potentially confusing. This tri-planet aspect will urge you to question what is important and whether or not you are on the right path toward achieving it. On Tuesday, October 10th, Jupiter enters Scorpio after spending the last 13 months in Libra. Jupiter is the planet of wisdom and knowledge seeking (vs. fact-seeking, which belongs to Mercury), and Scorpio is the sign of investigation and vicarious experience. Life’s deeper mysteries will be at question, and humanitarian issues likely on the rise with this sign change for Jupiter. Anyone whose chart is heavily Scorpio influenced will fare well with Jupiter, the greater benefic of the zodiac, in their corner. Happy investigating! On Wednesday, October 11th, Mars in Virgo squares off with Saturn in Sagittarius at 9:37am EST, challenging leadership issues. These two planets last met in a square in January, which had the masses on high alert. Everyone will feel entitled and that they are right today, which is likely to cause a lot of conflict and frustration overall. This aspect has us feeling like our way is not just the best way, but the only way to climb to the top. Stay open minded today and try not to be a know-it-all if you don’t want to engage in the chaos. On Saturday, October 14th, Venus enters Libra at 6:11am EST, where it is in rulership and the most pure in its expression. While we may feel more optimistic, attractive, and socially engaged with Venus in Libra, there is also the chance to sugar coat those aspects of your life that you don’t want others judging or questioning. Make note of this as you move through the course of Venus’s 4 week stay in its home of homes. On Sunday, October 15th, Mercury in Libra opposes Uranus rx in Aries, sending high frequency vibes straight to our central nervous centers. You may feel like you have information overload today and can’t keep things straight, which makes sense given that Mercury is the fastest moving planet in the zodiac and Uranus is known for its erratic nature. Take this transit in stride, as its energy will pass over the course of two days. Make not of any universal downloads that may come to you, and keep track of them by writing them down, lest you forget the message before you have a chance.

Venus in Leo trines Uranus rx in Aries on Monday, September 18th at 12:27am EST. This trine may have us feeling restless with our usual routines, and is calling for a something new and exciting to take relationships, romance, and finances to the next level. This energy is also conducive for cutting out relationships that don’t serve us in order to seek individual freedom.
Next up this week is Venus’s move from Leo into Virgo on Tuesday, September 19th at 9:15pm EST. Unfortunately, Venus is in detriment in Virgo, as its accepting and embracing nature is no match for Virgo’s dry and to-the-point climate. While this aspect may be good for business due to Virgo’s perfectionist ways, relationship-wise, this aspect can create energy that is extra-critical, worrisome, and overall difficult to please. Later in the day on the 19th, Mercury in Virgo opposes Neptune rx in Pisces at 11:50pm EST. While the energy of this transit is only felt over the better course of two days, it may have us questioning what we know and what is really true. This is significant, as Mercury will later trine Pluto in Capricorn on Friday, September 22nd at 2:01pm, potentially revealing what seemed unknown just a few days before. The Sun moves into Libra at 4:02pm EST on Friday, September 22nd. The Sun is in fall here, as Libra, being the opposite sign of Aries which represents the mark of the individual, is more focused on the collective. Libra represents moving away from self-focus and into embracing others and assimilating into a group consciousness. Libra also marks the beginning of the Fall season and the fall equinox in which the hours of day and night are equal. Moon Transits this Week:
Mercury rx and Mars meet up in Leo at 5:38am EST on Sunday, September 3rd. When Mars, our center for motivation, passion, and impulse, combines with Mercury rx, you may feel called to rethink a previous situation and perhaps even attempt to rectify or readdress its outcome. In Leo, we must recognize that we are solely responsible for our actions. This can be a great time for owning up and extending forgiveness, but don’t get sucked into the past trying to make it right. These planets will move quickly and their fused energy will only last a few days.
Tuesday, September 5th has quite a bit going on, starting with the Sun in Virgo opposing Neptune rx in Pisces at 1:28am EST. The heavy water influence of Neptune and Pisces combined slows the fiery and methodical Sun in Virgo way down. All day you may feel torn between languishing and indulging versus getting to work and taking care of business. Enjoy a little down time at some point because Mars moves into Virgo at 5:35am EST and Mercury goes direct shortly thereafter at 7:29am EST. Mars in Virgo will jumpstart any job or project if used wisely, but can also turn into a workaholic if not managed properly. With Mercury going direct, the green light is given for closing sales, making important contacts, and presenting information. Business endeavors will benefit greatly from this focused, inspired, and organized energy today. The Sun in Virgo forms its last trine of 2017 with Pluto in Capricorn at 6:45am EST Saturday, September 9th. This transit can help illuminate and strengthen your sense of purpose and power, while pushing you to pursue long-time goals and bucket-list items. Mercury re-enters Virgo later in the day at 10:52pm EST, where it is quite at home and eager to assess, organize, and analyze. Use these two transits today to further brainstorming or implementing your plan. Moon Transits this Week:
The Sun in Leo forms a trine with Saturn rx in Sagittarius at 5:06pm EST on Sunday, August 13th. This is the second and last trine between the Sun and Saturn this year. The energy is likely to be profitable and conducive for handling responsibilities and combining work with pleasure. Checking things off your to-do list will feel very satisfying today, so get out there and make it happen!
Venus in Cancer opposes Pluto in Capricorn on Tuesday, August 15th at 7:17am. When these two planets face off, finances and relationships can often experience a shakeup. This is because Pluto loves to strip things down and break things apart, and sensitive Venus is no match for Pluto’s intense effects. Obsessions or addictions may seem extra difficult to avoid during this transit. This energy will keep rolling into early Thursday when Venus squares Jupiter in Libra at 2:40am EST, casting a blind eye or encouraging hand to bad habits. Venus square Jupiter can be known for over-exaggerating and wearing rose colored glasses—how rosy will yours be? Moon Transits this Week:
Venus enters Cancer on Monday, July 31st at 10:54am EST. This receptive planet and sign combination sends waves of sensitive energy until the end of August. Venus represents our sense of self-esteem, aesthetic standards, sense of affection, social urges, and source of money. When in Cancer, Venus is sensitive, intuitive, sympathetic, security-seeking, and instinctually charming. A skilled Venus in Cancer is nurturing, encouraging, and creative, while an unskilled Venus in Cancer can be defensive, defeatist, and even martyristic. How will you use this energy over the next month?
Uranus in Aries moves retrograde on Thursday, August 3rd at 1:31am EST (10:31pm PST on August 2nd). Uranus is considered the “awakener” of the planets, and when it moves retrograde, we experience internal realizations that shed light on our ways of being. Uranus rx in Aries is asking us to awaken to our natural and instinctive selves, and to exert ourselves in ways that make us stand out as unique from our surroundings. We are also urged to break away from internal constructs and stories that confine us. Uranus will remain retrograde until early January 2018, so we have the remainder of the year to work on liberating ourselves from the constant and limiting tapes that we allow to control us. Jupiter in Libra squares Pluto rx in Capricorn on Friday, August 4th at 2:48pm EST. This is the second square-off between these two planets this year (they last met on March 30th), which marks major shifts in self-control and personal development, for better or worse. When these two planets last met, Jupiter was retrograde in Libra while Pluto was direct in Capricorn—now the opposite is the case, with Jupiter direct in Libra and Pluto rx in Capricorn. This transit sheds light on where we should exert self-control in order to achieve positive results. If not managed appropriately, this transit can also result in sloppy and domineering behavior. Jupiter is often shy about managing the details of things, while Pluto uses the details to empower. This transit asks you to integrate these energies for the greater good, particularly in our external relationships and business dealings. Moon Transits this Week:
The Full Moon in Capricorn on Sunday the 9th at 12:07am EST compels us to examine areas where we need structure, and it gives us the drive and focus to get the ball rolling. Capricorn is a natural leader, but recognizes that it got to that position by paying dues and putting in work. Steep and treacherous terrain doesn’t deter the goat from climbing higher and higher. The Full Moon in Capricorn will illuminate areas where significant dedication is needed to grow. While the Moon struggles a little bit in dry, cool Capricorn, it’s not a completely foreign place. Luckily, earthy Capricorn has a watery side to it that manifests as passion and empathy. Be honest and exact with yourself this Full Moon, but do so compassionately.
The Sun and Pluto face off on Monday, July 10th at 12:35am EST. With these two powerhouse planets opposing one another, self-evaluation will run deep. You may be confronted with aspects of yourself that you’ve tried to ignore or suppress. Coming off its meet up with the Full Moon in Capricorn, Pluto is calling us to consider how we go about expressing our outgoing self (opposite the Sun) while keeping our inner emotions close to the vest (conjunct the Moon). The reality is that we cannot always be self-contained, even if we feel that we must be so in order to protect ourselves. Eventually our true natures will come to light, exposed by the Sun, and fueled by Pluto to change the way we relate to others and the world around us. The remainder of this week is light on planetary activity, which provides a perfect buffer to implement the Full Moon and Pluto/Sun energy. Two minor transits occur on Friday, July 14th. Mercury in Leo finds itself inconjunct Neptune in Pisces at 2:19am EST. With a quincunx, or inconjunct aspect, the planets fail to see one another, as mathematically they are just out of sight of one another. The inconjunct between Mercury and Neptune today might create mixups with perspective, understanding, and delivery of messages. Mercury’s sextile to Jupiter in Libra at 4:46pm EST may add to exaggeration and blowing things out of proportion. The Sun quincunxes Saturn in Sagittarius at 2:29pm EST today as well. You may feel that you want to shirk off responsibility and let loose, especially if people have really been on your case lately. Go ahead and do so, and know that Sunday, July 16th will be a perfect day to make any necessary apologies when the Moon trines Mercury at 2:38am EST. ;) Moon Transits this Week
Pluto in Capricorn takes the stage again this week, this time in opposition to Mars in Cancer on Sunday, July 2nd at 8:02am EST. Pluto’s energy is focused on deep, instinctual, and often painful, emotions that are related to the human experience, like grief, lust, power, protection—the emotions that we must experience in order to be shaped as individuals. Without the experiences that incite these emotions, we would never change, and therefore never evolve. Pluto’s energy is persistent and intense, and when in opposition to Mars, it can put pressure on our reactionary and defensive instincts. Think of Mars as your center of motivation, drive, and personal instinct. When confronted by Pluto, your Mars center will likely want to run or react in a big way because Pluto is notorious for inflicting pain, even if sometimes pain is necessary or even pleasurable. With this transit, you may be inexplicably drawn to things you know are no good for you, or even highly motivated to make serious changes to related to your behavior. Either way, with Mars in Cancer, expect to feel it to the core.
On Tuesday the 4th, Venus enters Gemini at 8:11pm. With physically focused Venus entering mentally-focused Gemini, flirting and personal expression, both verbally and aesthetically, will feel very easy over the next six weeks. Mercury in Cancer squares Uranus in Aries today as well at 8:51pm EST, which may make communication efforts impulsive and exciting if approached with some tact. Use these two transits to your benefit, particularly if you have some convincing or impressing to do. Mercury moves into outgoing and gregarious Leo at 8:20pm EST. Mercury can really play the game in Leo and loves to take center stage. This energy will have us feeling confident and articulate, not to mention funny and charming. Shortly thereafter, the Sun makes a trine to Neptune in Pisces at 8:46pm EST and then a square to Jupiter in Libra at 10:44pm EST. This combination can result in feeling super inspired or super indulgent—perhaps both. Neptune embodies our spirituality and sense of the unknown, but sometimes with its energy we become lost instead of found. Jupiter always wants to do things bigger and better, so just make sure that your path is truly illuminated when these energies are at play. The Full Moon in Capricorn on Sunday the 9th at 12:07am EST (Saturday July 8th for the west coast) illuminates areas where we need to cut the crap and get down to business. Not ironically, Pluto is conjunct the Moon today and at its side, urging us to dig into our emotional stores to see where we can learn and grow. With Capricorn, and therefore Saturn at the helm of this Full Moon, eyes should be on the prize. The Moon is in detriment in Capricorn, so it lacks sensitivity and empathy that it would usually have, which is exactly what this transit needs. As the Moon wanes, you may feel yourself dropping the dead weight. Moon Transits this Week:
Mars in Cancer squares Jupiter in Libra on Sunday the 25th at 2:07am EST. Jupiter will have a positive effect on assertive Mars which is struggling in emotional Cancer. Mars will need this benefic boost to function more effectively in Cancer. Over the next five days or so, this square will challenge us to take action on and acknowledge the areas of our lives in which we can benefit from more knowledge and tact. It’s so much easier to talk the talk before walking the walk, and this Mars/Jupiter square is calling us to walk the walk. Early Sunday the 26th, Mars will trine Neptune in Pisces at 2:18am EST, activating our intuitive senses and responses. Use this trine to lead you down the path that Jupiter illuminates the day before.
Mercury (in Cancer), our planet of communication, deal-making, and practical jokes has a very prominent role in this week’s astrology. It first squares Jupiter in Libra on Tuesday the 27th at 2:21pm EST. This square will amplify our inherent chatty, outgoing, and comical natures, so just try not to take anything too seriously. Conversations may become deeper, or even feelings hurt by careless remarks, once Mercury trines Neptune in Pisces the same day at 8:22pm EST. On Wednesday the 28th, Mercury in Cancer meets up with Mars in Cancer at 3:50pm EST. Physical and verbal reactions to things that get under your skin may be highly likely today, and with these two planets in Cancer, the nurturer of the zodiac, you are being called to respond to these types of situations in a compassionate and understanding way. Don’t lose track of the journey that the Mars/Jupiter square has set you upon this week! Natural leadership abilities will be enhanced for the next few days starting Thursday the 29th when Mercury opposes Pluto rx in Capricorn at 8:36pm EST. Pluto is a power-seeking planet, and retrograde in Capricorn has us restructuring our business approaches and ways that we manage our personal affairs. Opposite Mercury in Cancer, we are being called to combine our leadership qualities with our abilities to communicate to others that they are appreciated. Pluto is known to have a darker side, so be aware that meddling or gossiping will probably not end well. Chiron moves retrograde early Saturday, June 1st at 3:09am EST and will remain that way until December 5th, 2017. Chiron represents our natural teaching and healing abilities—where we sacrifice ourselves to benefit the mental and physical well-being of others. Where Chiron is in our charts represents where our bodies, minds, instincts, and intellects merge. When retrograde, Chiron compels us to seek inner healing and teaching—to apply the blessings and advice that we have been giving others back to ourselves. The house in which transiting Chiron falls in your chart represents the area of life in which you will benefit most from doings so. Use the next 6 months or so to focus on self-care in that realm. Moon Transits this Week:
On Sunday, June 18th, Mercury in Gemini opposes Saturn rx in Sagittarius at 3:07pm EST. Decision making will be key over the next two days or so, and Saturn is demanding that you choose wisely. Don’t sweat this transit too much, since Mercury in Gemini is well-armed with facts and opinions, but it’s possible you might feel pigeonholed into having to choose between options you don’t like. The energy from this transit can be used to get things organized and grab ahold of your ambition, just be discerning about where you place your mental energy.
The Sun enters Cancer on Wednesday, June 21st at 12:24am EST. The Sun’s movement into cardinal Cancer marks the summer solstice in which the Sun is at its highest peak and will continue to decline until it enters Capricorn for the winter solstice in December. In Cancer, the Sun sheds light on our emotional well-being, home, and family life. It embodies the feminine divine that we all have, and it rules our intuitive sensing. Over the next month or so, you may feel emphasis that the Sun has in these aspects of your life depending on where Cancer falls in your natal chart. Mercury is not too far behind the Sun, and changes from Gemini to Cancer shortly thereafter at 5:57am EST. Mercury is out of bounds at this point, high above the Sun’s orbit. In Gemini, it is able to look out objectively, but as it transitions into Cancer and embarks on its descent closer to the Sun’s orbit, communications become more instinctual and intuitive with a sense of urgency to get things done. Your gut responses may feel strong following this change of sign, so know that they are in tune with your inner energy. A Full Moon in Cancer takes place Friday, June 23rd at 10:31pm EST. The Moon is the ruler of Cancer and therefore is in essential dignity. During this Full Moon phase, it is able to function to the best of its abilities. The Full Moon in Cancer instinctually sends us back to our home or a place where we feel secure and comforted. Those who are Cancer or water dominant may feel great pleasure in being a homebody and sprucing up their personal space. Emotional connections will take precedence during this Full Moon, so don’t be surprised if you feel compelled to reach out to loved ones or those who are important to you during this time. Venus in Taurus trines Pluto rx in Capricorn for the first time in 2017 on Saturday, June 24th. With the trine energy, these two planets will work together. Venus in Taurus is in essential dignity and at the height of her feminine and sexual expression. With a trine to Pluto, a planet notorious for the darker side of sexual pursuits, Venus is set up for some serious attraction and lust today, but know that any trysts that come of this trine may not necessarily stand the test of time, as Pluto loves to break things down in order to start something new. Enjoy the energy and sexual release if this transit finds you today. This is also a fantastic transit for business and leadership endeavors, just know that they may eventually morph into something very different from what they first started out as. Moon Transits this Week:
Mars in Gemini opposes Saturn rx in Sagittarius at 2:55am EST on Monday, May 29th. Both Mars and Saturn are considered the malefic planets of the zodiac and are often the culprits involved in obstacles, struggles, and challenges. When these two planets oppose one another, they can have a tendency to bring out the worst. Think of this transit as driving with the brakes on. Mars wants to go, but Saturn rx wants to hold back. This transit can result in delays and roadblocks to your plans. If this happens, take note of where you might need to pay more attention to details and regulations before you can get going again.
Mercury in Taurus trines Pluto rx in Capricorn on Wednesday, May 31st at 8:03am EST. Since both of these planets are in earth signs, conversations about the deeper side of life will be methodical, meaningful, and rooted. You may have an easier time expressing and communicating business matters, or even facilitating difficult conversations and topics directly but with tact. Venus in Aries trines Saturn rx in Sagittarius the next day on Thursday, June 1st at 11:23am EST. Playing by the rules can set you up for success today, especially when dealing with relationships and other people. This energy lasts a few days until Venus meets up with Uranus on Saturday, May 3rd at 3:32am EST. The rules and regulations we felt compelled to abide by have now been thrown out the window, as Uranus brings an unexpected but exciting energy to our relationships and group dealings. The Sun in Gemini trines Jupiter rx in Libra, bringing a boost of positive energy and good luck, which supports the outcomes of the Venus/Uranus conjunction. Anything is possible today, so go for it! Moon Transits this Week: Moon enters Leo Monday, May 29th at 8:12am EST Moon enters Virgo Wednesday, May 31st at 12:16pm EST Moon enters Libra Friday, June 2nd at 8:04pm EST |
