Venus in Aries squares Pluto rx in Capricorn on Thursday, May 25th at 12:22pm EST. Venus is already compromised in Aries, as she is in her most uncomfortable sign of the zodiac. With power-loving Pluto rx challenging Venus, power struggles and breakdowns may ensue. This transit is not one that facilitates romantic relationships or easy-going business partnerships. Pluto has a tendency to burn up and destroy whatever issues it comes in contact with. In some cases, this can be positive (think of the phoenix rising from ashes), but it can also be very uncomfortable and drastic. This is a great transit for finally laying to rest a dead-end relationship, but not so much for embarking on a new romance.
Interestingly, the Gemini New Moon takes place later in the day on the 25th at 3:44pm EST. This is a welcome astrological distraction from the awkward Venus/Pluto rx square. Pay attention to ideas that come your way during this time, especially with a New Moon in Gemini, as they are seeds trying to plant themselves for later development. Instead of focusing on what’s broken with the Venus/Pluto square, shift your mindset toward engaging in productive conversation and brainstorming. This is a great time for writing things down, taking notes, and drawing up pros and cons. Mercury in Taurus is quincunx Jupiter in Libra at 3:17pm EST. In the quincunx aspect, the two planets involved cannot “see” one another, so their interactions are prone to misinterpretation or confusion. Quincunxes always require some sort of adjustment or revisioning, and with Mercury and Jupiter involved, the bigger picture must be reconciled with the details. Don’t allow this energy to overwhelm you--remember that the best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time. Moon Transists for this Week: Moon enters Aries Sunday, May 21st at 6:10am EST Moon enters Taurus Tuesday, May 23rd at 8:33am EST Moon enters Gemini Thursday, May 25th at 8:15am EST Gemini New Moon Thursday, May 25th at 3:44pm EST Moon enters Cancer Saturday, May 27th at 7:25am EST
