Sunday, March 26th
Mercury and Uranus meet up in Aries today at 11:06am EST, ramping up imagination and ability to improvise. Shifts in viewpoint and approach are almost guaranteed, whether you’re dealing with your immediate circle or a larger audience, but your thinking is on point today. Be aware that this transit can sometimes result in lashing out, exaggerating, or acting tactlessly, which can create a self-centered impression.
Monday, March 27th
The Moon enters Aries at 10:11am EST with a New Moon taking place at 10:57pm EST. With Mercury and Uranus fading in the later degrees of Aries, the entrance of the Moon into this sign regenerates Aries energy with regard to our personal stance and take on things. While you might lead with your own personal interest today, do so with compassion and concern, as the Moon meets up with Venus at 3:59pm EST, urging us to come from a place of love and generosity. The Moon finally meets with the Sun later at 10:57pm EST, resulting in a New Moon. With the energy of the Moon and Sun fused during this quick passing in Aries, we are blessed with an opportunity to perform to the best of our personal abilities.
Tuesday, March 28th
The Moon in Aries opposes Jupiter rx in Libra at 6:38pm EST. Moon/Jupiter combinations can sometimes result in indulgence, but this opposition with Jupiter rx urges the Moon in Aries to keep stoking the fire. There is more to learn and uncover about our place in this world and where we can serve—today is not the day to succumb to laziness or ambivalence.
Wednesday, March 29th
The Moon enters Taurus at 11:48am EST where she is exalted and therefore seeking comfort and grounding. This is familiar territory for the Moon—not quite home, but a close second. Since Taurus is the slowest and most fixed sign of the zodiac, today may not be the best day to establish a new habit or routine; instead, the Moon in Taurus wants us to slow down and enjoy the simpler and more decadent aspects of life, like good food, company, and passion. Getting outside today and marveling at the beauty of nature is not a bad idea.
Thursday, March 30th
The Moon meets up with Mars in Taurus today at 11:49am EST. While yesterday we may not have felt compelled to go anywhere fast, the Moon and Mars together create a somewhat anxious energy. You may feel impatient today as the Moon illuminates areas where Mars is struggling to make things happen, considering he is in detriment and therefore compromised as the fastest planet trying to make headway in the slowest sign. If sore spots are brought to a head today, it may be through an argument or two, but sometimes a step forward takes a risk or two.
Friday, March 31st
The Moon enters Gemini at 12:40pm EST, and Mercury enters Taurus later at 1:31pm EST. If you were feeling physical unrest or anxiety yesterday, you may get some of that on the mental end today. With the Moon in Gemini we are at our most active mental state, evaluating our communications with others and looking for ways to connect to information we need. Since Gemini is mutable air, chances are you’ll have multiple projects on the fire today or invitations to connect with friends. Enjoy the sociability of Mercury moving into Taurus, but know that discussion of taboo or sensitive topics may go round and round, as you probably feel you’re already equipped with all the facts and don’t need to hear the other side of the story.
Saturday, April 1st
The Moon in Gemini sextiles the Sun in Aries at 8:20am EST today. This is a great aspect for combining mental and physical capacity to get things done. Motivation and imagination will be working hand in hand today, resulting in individual productivity. If others are in the mix, be open to new ways of approach, which will satisfy the Moon’s curiosity in Gemini but give you an opportunity to intellectualize your inevitable success.
Sunday, March 19th
The Moon in Sagittarius is sextile Jupiter in Libra at 4:36pm EST which brings good energy for interacting with the outside world today. Your judge of character will be aided by this transit in the event that the Moon square Chiron has you feeling like you’re in a familiar but uncomfortable situation. The Sun is also making its exit from Pisces over the next day, at which point it will complete a full zodiacal year. This transit is putting the dream to bed and gearing up for doing the work to make it happen.
Monday, March 20th
Hey, Aries! The Sun moves into its exaltation in Aries today at 6:29am EST. Having completed a full cycle through the zodiac, it’s now ready to start again and initiate a new project or practice. 0° Aries is a powerful point in any chart, so people with an Aries ascendant will definitely be feeling the vigorous energy the Sun exudes on this special day. While not in rulership, the Sun is considered an honored guest in Aries and therefore expects nothing but the best. Our expectations may be high today, which is perfectly fine as long as they don’t become overbearing. The Moon meets up with Saturn shortly thereafter at 6:37am EST, then makes its way into Capricorn at 11:31am EST. With the Sun in Aries square the Moon in Capricorn (two cardinal signs) at 11:58am EST, today is sure to be business oriented and fruitful for getting things done. The energy for today may feel a little frantic, but it exhausted satisfaction is sometimes the best feeling.
Tuesday, March 21st
The Moon comes into contact with three of our most important personal planets today, starting with a square to Venus early at 2:32am EST (Monday night for westcoasters). The Moon in dertiment in Capricorn square Venus in detriment in Aries results in a dryness that neither the Moon nor Venus are entirely comfortable with. This energy is all about taking care of what needs to get done with no extra frills or sentiment, which is supported by the Moon trine Mars in Taurus aspect at 3:43am EST. Our instinct is challenging us to get things squared away before we can enjoy the fruits of our labor. With the Moon square Mercury in Aries at 6:20pm EST, we’re likely juggling multiple obligations today that may have us running nonstop.
Wednesday, March 22nd
The Moon passes over Pluto today at 1:32am EST, activating the Uranus/Jupiter/Pluto t-square that has been present for some time now. With Pluto activated by the Moon, new revelations make themselves clear today. Issues in relationships may come to a head today, but you are equipped to deal with what presents itself. Today would be a good opportunity to close up open issues or wounds with the Moon sextile Chiron at 1:09pm EST. The Moon later moves into Aquarius at 10:28pm EST, offering a more well-rounded awareness of how we fall into place in our environment.
Thursday, March 23rd
The Moon in Aquarius sextiles the Sun in Aries at 3:58am EST today, helping us integrate our internal motivations with our external actions. Today would be a good day to pursue initiating that new plan or taking the next step, as there is alignment between the Moon and Sun. The Moon sextiles Venus at 10:06am EST, which may reinvigorate our passion and inspiration. Use these two aspects to break through any roadblocks or setbacks when the Moon squares up with Mars in Taurus at 5:20pm EST. Remember that growth should be fun!
Friday, March 24th
Mercury in Aries opposes Jupiter rx in Libra today at 8:45am EST. Jupiter rx is grounding us from getting too carried away with Mercury in Aries. While this aspect can sometimes result in going overboard, Jupiter rx pulls away, deflating Mercury of the air it needs to keep the fire of Aries going strong. This is an aspect that challenges us to reorganize and repurpose our outward expression for a more refined approach. If we want to reach people today, it will need to be done by speaking truthfully but in a way that isn’t offensive or abrupt. The Moon trine Jupiter at 12:03pm EST knows that how you package your message is everything. Stay true to your authentic self and use your quirks to your advantage, but do so in a way that seems well put together and you’re bound to make an impact.
Saturday, March 25th
The Moon enters Pisces today at 6:06am, reconnecting us to our spiritual side and ushering us toward creative openings that may not have been obvious before. The Sun meets up with Venus in Aries at 6:17am EST, adding to the artistic and comfortable vibe for today. In Aries, this transit compels us to take action, so artistic activities may prove to be quite satisfying and soothing with this energy.
Monday, March 13th
The Moon moves into hot, moist, and masculine Libra today at 1:28am EST, shifting our focus from personal activity to group activities and relationships. The Moon will oppose Venus rx in Aries later this evening at 10:41pm EST. Currently, the Moon is disposited by Venus in Libra, so the Moon is looking to Venus for answers about how to move forward and what to shed light on. By now, you know that Venus rx in Aries is in unfamiliar territory, so challenges from yesterday’s Full Moon in Virgo may still persist. When evaluating your relationships, romantic or otherwise, you may feel that you’re swinging and missing. Because she is in Aries, Venus is looking to Mars for hints about how to act and what to work on, and Mars is in Taurus. This mutual reception creates a flow of energy, but because the signs are inconjunct and make no aspect to one another, these planets are also falling into a type of miscommunication. Thus, our actions and feelings may not align if we’re affected by this Moon/Venus/Mars energy. Mercury enters Aries later today at 5:07pm, giving us the green light to think and act as we feel, which may either clarify or confuse depending on how skillfully we implement its energy.
Tuesday, March 14th
The Moon in Libra passes over Jupiter rx at 5:52pm EST today which sets off the Jupiter/Uranus in Aries opposition. Our beliefs about spirituality, morals, group behavior, humanity, and the like are challenged by this Uranus opposition, which wants us to lash out in support of new ideas or revelations we’ve come to recently with Jupiter rx. In Libra, this planetary meetup can also lean toward vanity, as there’s a fine line between refinement and unawareness with Libra-related areas. Comfort can be found in groups who share a similar mindset, but growth is found in conversations with those who have opposing or differing viewpoints. Jupiter rx wants us to consider all possible avenues before jumping on the bandwagon. The Sun conjunct Chrion in Pisces tonight at 10:41pm EST supports the concept that sometimes the same old idea or pattern can hold us back if we’re not ready to accept the lessons it presents us.
Wednesday, March 15th
The Moon is again the focus of today’s transits, where it will sextile Saturn in Sagittarius at 6:05am EST, working as a conduit for pondering on any new revelations we’ve made regarding social order and where we fit into the mix. After making this sextile, the Moon goes void of course before entering Scorpio at 11:11am EST. 11:11 is a lucky time for most and important in numerology, and with Scorpio being an intense, fixed water sign that explores the depths of experience, this is bound to be a significant transit for many people. The Moon will later oppose Mars in Taurus at 7:38pm EST which will give the Moon a big boost of drive, but can easily go left and turn into aggression or emotional crisis if not properly managed. With Mars in Taurus, there’s a focus on taking care of business but the possibility of letting the details take over with the Moon in Scorpio.
Thursday, March 16th
The Moon in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces today at 11:25am EST which will provide some relief from the confrontation it encountered with Mars yesterday. We may feel more inspired during this transit, especially if yesterday’s energy seemed mentally, physically, and/or emotionally exhausting. Pluto in Capricorn is sitting pretty close the midpoint between the Sun and Moon, prodding us forward and acting as an agent for change and transformation.
Friday, March 17th
The Sun in Pisces square Saturn in Sagittarius at 5:48pm EST might make it feel like we have to learn everything the hard way today, but don’t let this spoil the mood, especially if you have plans to celebrate St. Patrick’s day. The Sun/Moon trine at 5:56pm will get the good vibes flowing—with both lights in water signs, there is permission to let loose. The Moon enters Sagittarius tonight at 11:00pm EST.
Saturday, March 18th
Mercury and Venus meet up in Aries at 8:27am EST. Saying and doing the right thing will seem important today. The ability to make it happen will be supported with a trine by the Moon to both Mercury and Venus at 4:59pm and 7:06pm EST respectively. Venus is parallel the North Node rx right now, so choose who you want to impress wisely. Are they able to be leveraged in a positive way? Do they contribute to your growth? This concept is an important one to consider today.
It facilitates work on any project and makes sense of any problem as long as all possible details have been uncovered. Virgo is an earth sign, and therefore typically does well managing resources. It represents areas in which we are not necessarily coming up with the bright ideas, but we’re instead tasked with executing them, notably with an emphasis on perfection. Virgo is the virgin—pure and good, but also somewhat naive. It represents areas in our lives where we feel that everyone should get on our level, yet that is ever rarely the case.
This Full Moon in Virgo may feel like a slap in the face for those of us who are brought to the stark reality of our shortcomings. Being cold and dry, Virgo is one of the barren signs of the zodiac. With the Moon, our emotional core, being fully illuminated in Virgo, a factual and abrupt sign, there is little soothing or comforting to be felt when presented with reality. Note that the Moon is more powerful at night in Virgo because it is the nighttime triplicity ruler of the sign; therefore, it is more comfortable when able to discretely operate in the shadows without fear of criticism. Thus, you may encounter more will and motivation to work on your projects (personal, work, or otherwise) at night or in isolation during this period.
Notice that Virgo’s ruler Mercury is both in detriment and fall in Pisces, currently opposite the Moon at 27°. With the dispositor stressed and challenged, any planet in Virgo right now must listen carefully to the messages it receives so as not to misinterpret or misconstrue facts. Additionally, Pluto is in Capricorn, trine the Moon and opposite Cancer, the Moon’s native home, so there’s bound to be powerful changes and transformations attached to this Full Moon in Virgo. This is sharp energy that will likely feel confrontational, but also inspirational in that doors will seem open and options available due to the mutable nature of Virgo.
Furthermore, the Moon is also opposite Chiron which is currently conjunct the Sun in Pisces. Thus, the Moon is pulling on Chiron’s energy, which harbors areas of our lives in which we’re perpetually wounded or plagued. So close to the Sun at the present moment, this may be a common theme for recent dealings and experiences you’ve been having.
Gut feelings are important during and around this transit, as Virgo rules the lower abdomen and intestines and the Moon our stomachs. Pay attention to your physical and mental reactions during this Full Moon in Virgo. Good luck!
Sunday, March 5th
The Moon in Gemini squares up with the Sun in Pisces today at 6:32am EST. There may be pressure today to reveal or express your inner thoughts, perhaps in an artistic or different way from what’s normal and comfortable. This is compounded by the Sun/Mercury conjunction in Pisces. The Sun in Pisces is incojunct Jupiter (its native ruler and dispositor), so motivations for this disruption to our inner peace may seem to be prying or to come from nowhere. Pisces and Gemini are two mutable signs of the zodiac, so use the energy of today to transition into the next phase of an artistic or personal project. Don’t be surprised if you also find yourself challenged to tell it like it is today—just remember that Venus rx is watching!
Monday, March 6th
The Moon moves out of Gemini and into its home in Cancer today at 7:54am EST. Emotional relief from the Venus rx shift and the Sun in Pisces square is in store. The energy the Moon in Cancer puts out provides a type of homeostasis and a sense that emotionally things will be all right, especially if we’ve been shaken recently. The Sun and Mercury also meet up today at 16° Pisces at 7:29pm EST. This conjunction is strong, being almost smack dab in the middle of the sign. With Mercury being known as the joker of the zodiac in a sign that has a reputation for being elusive, expect that you may come across things that aren’t really as they’re advertised. Mercury is in both detriment and fall in Pisces, which can lead to difficulty telling the complete truth. This is a great day for artistic and written expression (such as poetry), but be extra investigative of anything that doesn’t come from your own creative stores.
Tuesday, March 7th
The Moon in Cancer and Sun in Pisces harmonize with one another today at 1:48pm EST. This energy helps us ease into whatever we may have been impacted by during Monday’s Sun/Moon square. There’s not as much pressure to have to speak for yourself today or explain your motivations—there’s a confident and innovative energy about us with this transit through water signs. With the Moon opposite Pluto later in the day at 4:28pm EST, you may be confronted with new ways and avenues of approaching work, responsibilities, and relationships that had not dawned on you previously. Mixing work with pleasure today could go either way.
Wednesday, March 8th
The Moon in Cancer squares Mars in Aries today at 9:59am EST, shocking us from any comfort zone that we may have been hanging in and preparing us for the Moon’s transit into Leo an hour or so later at 11:45am EST. Moving from water (Cancer) to fire (Leo) is always a wakeup call, as our inward focus beings to be inverted into an outward expression. Now is a great time to start advertising what you’ve been working on and to show off your developments. The Moon in Leo adds an assertiveness that can quickly become defensive or antagonistic, and with the Moon inconjunct the Sun (ruling body of Leo) right now, emotionally you may feel all over the map or that you lack guidance, even though outwardly you may exude confidence. No worries, just fake it til you make it.
Thursday, March 9th
Mars, our planet of action and instigation, enters Taurus today where it is unfortunately in detriment. Mars naturally moves at a rapid and exhilarating pace, and thus doesn’t find much in common with slow and steady Taurus. Earth signs are typically concerned with the final product, and Taurus is the most determined of the Earth signs to get the job done. Mars finds this incredibly irritating, since he’s more accustomed to shooting now and asking questions later—a complete opposite to Taurus’s focus on planning and preparing. Our endeavours may begin to feel that they’re slowing down or even coming to a standstill, which may result in frustration and anger. This transit will last until April 21st, so identifying a way to blow off steam until then is recommended.
Friday, March 10th
The Moon enters Virgo today at 5:07pm EST, then trines Mars in Taurus shortly thereafter at 6:22pm EST. This adds a soothing effect to the abruptive slow down felt yesterday during Mars transit into Taurus. With the Moon and Mars both in Earth signs, the energy for today is more conducive to getting the job done right the first time. The Moon will have us feeling super organized and capable of multitasking, while Mars in Taurus gives us a sense of motivation and endurance. Mercury and Chiron also meet up today at 8:35pm EST in an airing of grievances or cathartic admission.
Saturday, March 11th
The Moon in Virgo is opposite Neptune in Pisces today at 3:08pm EST, stalling us once again. The theme for this week seems to be stop and go at this point. The Moon in Virgo has us crossing off all the items from our to-do list, but opposite Neptune in Pisces tempts us to procrastinate and luxuriate instead of hunkering down to put in work. This transit is leading up to an afflicted Full Moon in Virgo tomorrow at 10:54am EST. Laying low may be the way to go.
Well, the transit no one has been looking forward to takes place today when Venus goes retrograde in Aries at 4:09am EST. Poor Venus has been suffering at the hands of Mars in Aries for some time now, putting her in a position in which she must act egotistically and with self-interest when she’d rather be working to earn the trust of those she cherishes. Needless to say, Venus has been suffering from some severe PMS and the end is not in sight, as she’ll actually appear to retrace her steps through Aries. With much dismay, she will be held prisoner in this hostile and unfamiliar environment for several more weeks.
To add insult to injury, the Moon, the other feminine planetary body of the zodiac, enters Gemini at 5:05am EST. Gemini is one of a few barren signs of the zodiac (along with Leo and Virgo), so feminine energy and appeal is severely challenged at the onset of Venus retrograde. Mercury in detriment in Pisces meets up with Neptune, making communication—a strong feminine attribute—convoluted and careless at best. The Moon in Gemini will square Neptune a few hours later, adding to the difficult energy for today. Since the Moon in Gemini is disposited by Mercury—meaning it looks to Mercury for how to act—and Mercury is already challenged in its current position, there’s likely to be a huge disconnect with our ability to nurture, comfort, and even remember things today.
This transit has us in a perpetual loop of feminine confusion—and this does not apply strictly to the women of the world. Since we all have every planet and sign in our own natal charts, we all have a Venusian side to us, whether we identify as male or female. Venus retrograde affects a number of personal qualities, including but not limited to our abilities to: charm others, make money, express creatively, earn trust, experience pleasure, assure confidence, and act romantically.
